For the 2026 edition of the Day of Contemporary Art, the theme “Geographies of Contemporary Life” invites visitors to reflect on a world in constant transformation, where territories, communities and identities are shaped through relationships, exchanges and evolving connections. Contemporary art becomes a tool for interpreting the present and exploring new perspectives on reality.

An invitation, therefore, to take advantage of the initiative which provides free admission in the following places:

  • Saint-Martin-de-Corléans Megalithic Area MegaMuseum - Aosta: visitors can explore the exhibition section Archaeologies of the Future Sky. Temporal Landscapes between Microcosm and Macrocosm, part of the widespread exhibition Under a Sky of Stars. A Constellation of Art, Science and Culture, as well as the exhibition Ahmed Elsharif. Between Memory and Spirituality.
  • Gamba Castle - Châtillon: two special guided tours are scheduled, at 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., offering the exclusive opportunity to visit the museum's storage rooms, which are normally not open to the public. Advance booking required.
  • Regional Archaeological Museum - Aosta: exhibition Marc Chagall. Between Poetry and Spirituality
  • Church of Saint Lawrence - Aosta: exhibition Rosalie D’Herin Seris (1871-1956). The First Female Photographer in the Aosta Valley
  • Saint-Bénin Centre - Aosta: exhibition Nino Migliori. The Dialectics of Reality
