Aosta-Pila-Stella gondola lift

Quickly reach altitude in a few minutes from Aosta without using the car and enjoy a breathtaking view of the valley.

The gondola list depart from the city of Aosta and reach the tourist resort of Pila in 18 minutes, surrounded by fir and larch woods at 1,800 metres above sea level.

the Pila-Couis-Stella cableway is also operational: in just 15 minutes, it reaches the Stella di Pila, an exceptional panoramic point to admire the Alps from a spectacular perspective. The view stretches over the highest peaks of the Aosta Valley, from Mont Blanc to Grand Combin, from the Matterhorn to Monte Rosa.

At an altitude of 2,723 metres, skiers, bikers and hikers enjoy direct access to panoramic terraces overlooking some of the most iconic peaks of the Western Alps. Inside, the Panoramic Bistrot offers high-quality cuisine showcasing the finest products of the Aosta Valley, reinterpreted with a contemporary touch.

In Winter, you will find a state-of-the-art ski area, featuring:

  • 70 km of ski slopes and freeride areas
  • a fun park for children
  • a snowpark for snowboarding
  • snowshoeing routes

In Summer, a wide range of outdoor activities for sports enthusiasts and families:

  • numerous hiking trails
  • an adventure park
  • mountain bike routes and downhill and freeride tracks

 

 

 

 

 

 

Both gondola lifts have intermediate stations:

  • the Aosta–Pila gondola reaches its final station after the stops at Les Fleurs and Plan Praz
  • the Pila–Stella gondola arrives at its top station after the intermediate stops of Gorraz and Couis 1.
