"Lo Matsòn" - food and wine fair
Resorts: Courmayeur
Centre of Courmayeur
05 September 2026 - 06 September 2026
Lo Matsòn is the celebration of the authentic flavours of the Aosta Valley.
In the heart of Courmayeur, at the foot of Mont Blanc, a unique weekend comes to life, celebrating the finest local food and wine traditions.
On Sunday, the town centre turns into a large open-air market: a stroll through genuine aromas and flavours, meeting producers face-to-face and discovering the stories behind each specialty. Fresh products, crisp air, smiling faces.
Lo Matsòn, which means “snack” in the local dialect, is much more than a market: it’s a convivial experience, a moment to build connections, learn, taste, and buy the very best the Aosta Valley has to offer.
Alpine Botanicals: the Theme of Lo Matsòn 2026
For its 2026 edition, Lo Matsòn invites visitors to discover the world of Alpine Botanicals, a rich heritage of wild herbs, flowers, roots and medicinal plants that have long shaped the landscapes and culture of the Alps.
Around the market, the historic heart of the event, a diverse programme of experiences unfolds, including workshops, talks, tastings and immersive activities that explore the many ways in which the mountains express, inspire and transform themselves.
Free access
By car, the main parking areas are:
- P1 Piazzale Monte Bianco, just a short walk from the town centre (first hour free, then up to €22 per day).
- P2 Viale Monte Bianco, next to the historic centre (first 30 minutes free, up to €26 per day).
- P3 Dolonne (Tzan de Blà), a little farther away but very affordable (€1 per hour, maximum €8 per day).
During the event, the central car parks may fill up quickly. We recommend arriving early or using P3, which is connected to the town centre by free weekend shuttle buses.
Courmayeur can also be reached by bus from Aosta (journey time about 1 hour) and from Chamonix via the Mont Blanc Tunnel. The bus stop is located close to both the town centre and the event area.
During the weekend, free local shuttle buses connect Dolonne, Entrèves and La Palud with the centre of Courmayeur.
