The castle belonged to the noble Sorelley family, who lived there in the 16th and 17th centuries.
The oldest part is the circular tower on the south side which contains the tiny chapel. It was extended and transformed into a noble residence and still preserves traces of a collection of objects of art.
The castle was passed on to the Passerin d’Entrèves, who are still nowdays its owners.
