Great Saint Bernard Tunnel

Resorts: Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses

The tunnel connects the Aosta Valley with the Canton of Valais. The entrances are located in the municipalities of Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses (1,875 m) in Italy and Bourg-Saint-Pierre (1,918 m) in Switzerland.

18/04/2025: The connection between Italy and Switzerland through the Great St. Bernard Tunnel is temporarily interrupted in both directions until further notice. The cause is an avalanche that made it necessary to close the Toules tunnel on the A21 Grand-St-Bernard for safety reasons.
