Les Combes - Croix de Bouque

You leave your car just before the parking of locality *Les Combes*cross the village of Les Combes and then continue along the path nr. 4, on the left. The itinerary crosses a protected wood of firs and larch trees. This place is so dear to Popes who spent many summer holidays here. The itinerary develops first on a path and then on a farm road until it reaches the path 4B. From here, still following the sign number 4, you continue on the gravel road, you leave the large path that turns right and continue to the rocky spur called Croux de Boque, where you can find a cross and a stone altar. From this point you can enjoy a splendid view on the Mont Blanc Massif and on the so called “Plaine di Aosta” (the plain surrounding the town of Aosta).
