Hiking route

Downstream, from Pré-Saint-Didier, the itinerary starts near the ancient bridge over the Dora di Verney stream: you pass the Pré-Saint-Didier spa, continue for about 200 metres and on the right you will find the path, at the foot of Mont Crammont, which winds through the woods for about 40 minutes uphill. Near the bridge there are two thermal springs enclosed in an artificial cave dating back to the sixteenth century, with water that flows at 22°C.

Panoramic skywalk

If you want to admire the gorge from above, the panoramic terrace - located at a height of 160 metres - offers emotions and an incomparable view of the Mont Blanc chain, the “Orrido” canyon and its waterfall, the Pré-Saint-Didier basin with the villages of Champex, Palleusieux and Verrand.

It can be reached by driving along the road towards La Thuile for approximately 3 km. After the hairpin bends and the first tunnel, after 300 metres, turn right into Plan du Bois, where, near the Parco Avventura Mont Blanc, the walk begins that in 10 minutes leads to the panoramic walkway over the gorge.

The walkway is not accessible in winter.
