Route

An easy tourist route runs along side the “Orrido” canyon, dug in the rock by the impetuous waters of the stream.
The path is located at the foot of Mont Crammont, on the left bank of the river Dora of Verney.

From Pré-Saint-Didier, down in the valley, the itinerary starts in the vicinity of the ancient bridge over the stream Dora of Verney. Overcome the thermal spa of Pré-Saint-Didier, and after around 200 metres the path can be found on the right.

From the summit, the route can be reached by car following the national road, in the direction of La Thuile, for around 3 km; after the hairpin bends and passing through the first tunnel, turn right after around 300 metres, to enter Plan du Bois, where the walking path starts, near the Mont Blanc Adventure Park .

Panoramic skywalk
Above the path there is a beautiful panoramic walkway over the gorge of the “Orrido di Pré-Saint-Didier” ravine.

At a height of 160 metres, this walkway offers unrivalled views over the Mont Blanc range, the “basin” of Pré-Saint-Didier with the villages of Champex, Palleusieux and Verrand, as well as breathtaking views over the waterfall of the gorge and the thermal spring cave.

The walkway is not accessible in winter.
