This warehouse was carved out of the former powder magazine of a military fort dating back to the French Revolutionary period.

A former powder magazine dug into the rock close to the Valgrisenche fort, dating back to the end of the 13th century, it is the warehouse of the Cooperativa Fontina located at a higher altitude (1700 metres) and ensures an excellent balance between the temperature which is maintained around 8° C all year round and humidity reaching 98%.

It may be visited upon reservation between June and September, from Monday to Friday from 8am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm.
