The Guide del Cervino Hut is situated in a unique setting, on the slopes of the Plateau Rosa, in the Testa Grigia area, at an altitude of 3.480 m., nestled directly amidst the silence and majesty of the glacier.
From here, the door opens to extraordinary mountaineering adventures: the Breithorn, Polluce, Castore and the Monte Rosa traverse are just some of the destinations within reach. All around, a spectacular panorama embracing the Plateau Rosa glacier, the Valtournenche and the Zermatt valley, offering unforgettable experiences.
Situated on the border between Italy and Switzerland, the refuge is a meeting point for those who love the mountains in all their forms: skiers, mountaineers and walkers will find here a special place from which to set off to discover the Alpine wonders between the Aosta Valley and Switzerland.

From Breuil-Cervinia, specifically:
Ski mountaineering: ascend the slopes leading to Plan Maison (2,550 m), continue towards Cime Bianche Laghi (2,812 m) and finally head for the Plateau Rosa along the marked trails. This route is recommended only for experienced skiers with mountaineering equipment.
Difficulty: Medium/High
Elevation gain: approx. 1,400 m
Duration: approx. 3/4 hours
The route may only be attempted after checking the avalanche report, and a rescue kit (AVAR, shovel and probe) is mandatory.

Châtillon-Saint-Vincent motorway exit.
At the stop sign, turn right and, after a few hundred metres, just before the centre of Saint-Vincent, take the right-hand turn-off (signposted Cervinia) which, via an underpass, leads onto the SS 26 and back towards Châtillon. Follow the A26 for about 1 km until you reach the roundabout, from which the regional road to Cervinia branches off to the right.
