The chestnut festival takes place in Runaz on the last Sunday in October making the most of the production of chestnuts which the area of Adret abounds in. In the past, chestnuts played an important part in the local, farming community diet and economy. Nowadays, in the form of roasted chestnuts, it is distributed free in an atmosphere of joy and cordiality. Free chestnuts, Val d’Aosta-style casse-croûte and some fine chilled or warmed wine for everyone. Afternoon of dancing.

9:30pm dancing evening with I Ragazzi del Villaggio (free entry)
Sunday 26th October
1:00pm start cooking the chestnuts
2:00pm distribution and sale of roasted chestnuts and opening of the snack bar
3:00pm afternoon dancing with the William Isabel Orchestra
