Mistletoe was an important element in the Celtic tradition, and many rites and legends are based on it.
To celebrate its harvest, which traditionally occurs just before Christmas, the festival, centred around the mistletoe street market, where visitors will also find traditional food products, is made even more enchanting by the traditional music and dancing. After prizes have been awarded for the finest mistletoe, the event comes to a conclusion with a torchlight parade and the lighting of the druid fire.
