At 11.00 a.m. in the characteristic Walser village Alpenzu Grande, near the small chapel dedicated to Saint Margaret, the hamlet's patron saint's day will be held, with a flag-raising ceremony by the Alpini, Holy Mass and a cheerful lunch at the refuge.

How to reach Alpenzu Grande:

  • from Gressoney-Saint-Jean (hamlet Tschemenoal): path no. 6 (about 1 hour)
  • from Gressoney-La-Trinité (hamlet Lysbalma:): path W (about 2 hours).
  • Patron saint’s day 
  • Visit of Alpenzu’s typical Walser village
  • Reservation for lunch is required (+39 379 2854953 by Friday 19th)
