Conceived to highlight and promote the Barmè, the special cellars made out of rock from the “Becca” (the spur overlooking the village of Villeneuve), as well as the village roads and the square opposite the church, the Fiha di Barmè, now in its 14th edition, will be enriched by a farmer’s market and a local craft market with artisan products made of wood, sculptures of various kinds and interesting objects.
Piazza Assunzione will host the farmer’s market, with honey, jams, cheeses, cured meats and other delicacies, while the twenty odd Barmè will offer tastings of their locally produced wines.
The party will continue into the night, with travelling folk groups, street performers, games and magic tricks for children.
A marquee will be put in place with a refreshment bar and a dancing evening with free entry to follow.
Taking part to the event is free. If you wish to taste the wine, the tasting kit costs 15 € and gives you access to the various cellars.
