A weekend to discover the stages 19 and 10 of the Cammino Balteo accompanied by a hiking and naturalistic guide, among churches, castles, protected areas, traditions, food and wine and a free concert during the first stage!
ITINERARY:
- Saturday 14th October: Aosta – Fénis/Nus
length: 17 km; altitude difference 350 m (ascent) 400 m (descent) - Sunday 15th October: Fénis/Nus – Aosta
length: 16 km; altitude difference: 450 m (ascent) 250 m (descent)
WHAT YOU WILL SEE/VISIT:
- Saturday 14th October: Saint-Marcel castle (guided visit inside too)
- Sunday 15th October: Tzatelet natural reserve, Nus and Quart castle (external area only)
WHAT YOU WILL LISTEN
- Saturday 14th October: concert for viola, violin, cello and percussion instruments by SFOM (Scuola Formazione Musicale) at Saint-Marcel castle
THE PROPOSAL INCLUDES:
- accompaniment along the route with a hiking and naturalistic guide (€ 20 per person per day)
- free guided visits to extraordinarily open sites
- free concerts at Saint-Marcel castle
- lunch for Saturday 14th (at Saint-Marcel castle, € 15) and Sunday 15th (takeaway € 10)
- luggage transport and transfer services: free
- overnight stay in Fénis or Nus: to be paid by the participants
PLEASE NOTE: experience with limited places and reservation required.
For organisational reasons, the participation must concern the whole weekend. The participation to one day only is not allowed.
Program
SATURDAY 14TH OCTOBER
- Meeting place: 8.30am at the parking of the Aosta-Pila cablecar, where the participant will park their cars
- Lunch, visit and concert at Saint-Marcel castle: 12pm-2pm
- Lunch: buffet at Saint-Marcel castle (€ 15)
- Arrival in Fénis:3.30/4pm. The participants will have the chance of assisting to the baking of the typical Pan Ner in the oven of the town
- Overnight stay in Fénis/Nus: to be paid by the participants
SUNDAY 15TH OCTOBER
- Meeting place: 8.30am in Fénis or Nus
- Purchase of the takeaway lunch (€ 10) in Nus and departure
- Visit to Tzatelet reserve: 12.30pm and lunch
- Arrival in Aosta: 4pm
