Medieval Times in the Land of the Challant

Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Middle Ages with a fascinating historical re-enactment celebrating the Land of the Challants. The event kicks off with an evocative parade of historical groups, culminating in the Lord of Ville Ebalo Castle, Magno di Challant, and his wife welcoming the guests.
You’ll be able to enjoy a performance by the musicians and flag-wavers of Grugliasco. The musicians, jesters and acrobats of Folet d’la Marga will accompany spectators and participants to the hamlet of Ville, where young and old alike can learn about stories from the past and take photographs.
The Ebalo Magno group and the Challant dynasty will delight the audience with music and dancing.
In the afternoon, a walk featuring ladies and jesters will lead the public to the encampments, where they can discover ancient crafts, medieval games and music.
The evening will be enlivened by a catered dinner, featuring specialities from Le Velo and the Frittelle di Giò e Martino. Musical entertainment and an evening of dancing will be provided by JP&G Folk Beat, with a full bar service available throughout the evening. The event will conclude with a performance by the Burgo Turris Theatre Group from Torre Canavese.

Presentation of the historical re-enactment group featuring the Lord of Ville Castle, Ebalo Magno and his consort
Performance by the Musicians and Flag-wavers of Grugliasco
The musicians and jesters of Folet d’la Marga will lead the audience to the hamlet of Ville, to the square by the little church. The Ebalo Magno and the Challant dynasty group will delight the audience with medieval music and dance.
The procession with jesters and ladies continues towards the green space below the Town Hall.
A team competition featuring heroic volunteers who will compete in the ‘Giostra dei colori delle Signorie di Challant’

Awards ceremony and presentation of gifts to participating groups by the Town Council.
