The refuge is located in the middle of the prestigious Gran Paradiso National Park, in the deep valley of Lauson at 2.588 meters, 2,30 hours on foot from Valnontey. Renovated hunting lodge that once belonged to King Vittorio Emanuele II. It’s an excellent starting point for hikes, mountaineering and ski-mountaineering tours.
In summer cccessible only on foot, in spring only with snowshoes or mountaineering skis.
